Job description
Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to oversee essential financial functions such as Accounts Payable, Tax compliance, Financial Reporting, and Audit processes for a contract role based in Doha, Qatar. This position is available immediately with a contract duration of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable operations to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Oversee tax-related activities in compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate and contribute to financial reporting tasks.
- Support audit procedures and liaise with auditors as required.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Have a minimum of six years’ experience in accounting roles.
- Demonstrated expertise specifically in Accounts Payable, Tax matters, and Audit processes.
- Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA, or equivalent credentials, are favored.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and familiarity with IFRS.
- Proficient user of ERP or accounting software along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Strong analytical capabilities combined with meticulous attention to detail.
