Position Overview
Orient Palace Contracting & Building Maintenance LLC, a reputed firm in Dubai specializing in construction, building maintenance, and facilities management, is looking for an experienced and dependable Senior Accountant cum HR & Administration Executive. This professional will be responsible for independently managing the organization's accounting, tax compliance, payroll, labor documentation, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete company accounts using Zoho Books/Zoho Finance software autonomously.
- Record and track sales and purchase invoices, payments, receipts, expenses, and journal entries.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, supplier payments, and follow up on customer outstanding balances.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, cash flow statements, profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and management reports.
- Maintain detailed project-based accounting including labor costs, material expenses, subcontractor payments, and calculate project profitability.
- Handle petty cash and day-to-day operational expenses with sufficient supporting documentation and approvals.
- Verify purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and payment documents for accuracy.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Ensure financial records are accurate, current, and properly archived.
- Prepare and file UAE VAT returns accurately and timely, managing input and output VAT records and reconciliations.
- Verify compliance of tax invoices, credit and debit notes, and related documentation.
- Administer dealings with the Federal Tax Authority, handling registrations, amendments, queries, and documentation.
- Maintain records for UAE Corporate Tax compliance and assist with tax audits and assessments.
- Prepare payroll including employee and worker salary sheets, calculate overtime, allowances, deductions, and final settlements, and process wages through the WPS system while maintaining records.
- Coordinate with site supervisors about attendance and payroll-related activities.
- Manage employee loans, advances, and salary deduction records.
- Maintain thorough records of all employee documentation including passports, visas, Emirates IDs, labor contracts, insurance, and personal records.
- Coordinate visa processing and renewals, medical fitness tests, labor contracts, ID renewals, insurance, and related labor documentation in collaboration with PRO or company typist.
- Keep track of expiry dates for official employee documents and organize their renewals in a timely manner.
- Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, leave records, and final settlements while protecting confidentiality of personnel files.
- Support general office administration and daily operational requirements for management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of accounting experience within the UAE or GCC region.
- Prior experience in construction, contracting, building maintenance or facilities management sectors is highly advantageous.
- Strong practical expertise with Zoho Books or Zoho Accounting Software is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UAE VAT preparation, filing processes, and Federal Tax Authority regulations.
- Familiarity with UAE Corporate Tax compliance procedures.
- Hands-on skills in accounts payable and receivable management, bank reconciliations, payroll with WPS system, petty cash handling, and financial reporting.
- Understanding of UAE labor laws, visa processing and employee documentation systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Trustworthy, organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing full company accounts and tax issues independently.
- Strong command of English for effective communication.
- Preference for candidates available for immediate joining.
