This position is based at Nextiva's Bengaluru office located at Wilshire III by MFAR, 492 Hobli, RHB Colony, Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560048. Working onsite ensures enhanced communication, faster decision-making, and efficient execution. The role requires presence four days a week with flexibility for up to five days depending on business requirements, coordinated by leadership to balance collaboration and productivity.
Primary Responsibilities
- Accurately process and verify vendor invoices ensuring timely recording and reconciliation.
- Match invoices with purchase orders, goods receipts, and other required documents.
- Coordinate execution of vendor payments via NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, cheque, or other authorized methods.
- Perform reconciliation of vendor statements and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and payments.
- Monitor accounts payable aging reports to ensure prompt settlement of vendor liabilities.
- Maintain comprehensive vendor master data and documentation.
- Liaise with Procurement, Stores, and other departments to address invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Review employee reimbursement claims submitted within the month for accuracy and completeness.
- Handle daily banking operations including processing transactions and payments.
- Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliation statements to ensure financial accuracy.
- Oversee bank balances to support effective cash flow management.
- Coordinate with banking partners regarding account maintenance, KYC documentation, and banking services.
- Ensure compliance with internal authorization limits and banking protocols.
- Maintain accounting records related to accounts payable and banking activities.
- Support periodic financial closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Generate reports covering vendor payments, aging accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and cash positions.
- Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance matters involving vendor payments.
- Provide necessary schedules and documentation for statutory and internal audits.
- Maintain adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Identify areas for process optimization and automation to improve AP and banking workflows.
- Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive financial information.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Progress toward Chartered Accountancy Intermediate (CA Inter) or Certified Management Accountant Intermediate (CMA Inter) is a plus.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in accounts payable, banking operations, and general accounting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office applications.
