Role overview

This opportunity is posted on behalf of a partner employer, which will handle applications and the next stages of the process. The hiring company is seeking a Senior Account Manager in Canada for a client-facing, high-impact position focused on expanding long-term commercial relationships across industrial and technical markets in British Columbia.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to a varied client base, anticipating needs and delivering solutions that match both technical and commercial requirements. The job blends strategic account planning, field-based sales activity, and product knowledge in a relationship-led environment. A major part of the role is growing revenue from existing accounts while also uncovering new opportunities across key industries. You will work closely with internal sales, support, and leadership teams to create a smooth customer experience and reliable delivery.

This is a field-oriented position that calls for independence, frequent travel throughout British Columbia, and a sustained focus on results, service quality, and long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, strengthen, and expand long-term relationships with end users, distributors, OEMs, and consulting firms in the assigned territory while consistently working toward sales targets.
  • Create and carry out account strategies that support growth objectives and align customer needs with the company’s offerings.
  • Anticipate client requirements and recommend practical technical and commercial solutions tailored to each account.
  • Work with internal teams such as inside sales, technical support, and leadership to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate commercial terms within approved limits and support contract-related discussions.
  • Visit clients regularly across British Columbia to deepen relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with product updates, market developments, and competitive activity.
  • Share organized market insights and customer feedback to support product and commercial strategy.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a similar field, or an equivalent background in strategic technical sales.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a client-facing sales or account management role, preferably in industrial or technical environments.
  • Exposure to electric motors, transformers, or variable frequency drives will be considered an advantage.
  • Proven experience managing and growing key accounts in a B2B setting.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, presentations, and relationship building.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Comfort using MS Office and CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly across British Columbia.
  • Permanent legal authorization to work in Canada; no current or future sponsorship is available.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of CAD 90,000 to CAD 100,000 per year.
  • Commission plan plus performance-based incentives.
  • Company vehicle provided for travel within the territory.
  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and wellness coverage.
  • Opportunity to represent a well-established organization in industrial engineering solutions.
  • A collaborative, customer-focused team culture.
  • Exposure to diverse industries such as energy, utilities, mining, and manufacturing.
  • Career growth in a technical, solution-oriented sales environment.
