Job description
Overview
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for comprehensive financial accounting and reporting duties, ensuring precision and adherence to accounting principles, and delivering detailed financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. This role involves managing the general ledger, month-end and year-end closing processes, as well as compiling management and profitability reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accurate bookkeeping and enforce compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and review periodic financial statements and monthly management information system (MIS) reports.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable by tracking customer collections and settling supplier invoices in a timely manner.
- Regularly reconcile customer and vendor accounts, and assess credit limits and outstanding balances.
- Administer inventory accounting, including stock valuation and reconciliation of inventory records with physical counts, while analyzing inventory trends and coordination with warehouse and sales teams.
- Ensure timely GST returns filing and adherence to GST rules, manage Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) processes, and liaise with auditors, tax professionals, and government agencies.
- Supervise banking operations, including cash flow forecasting, working capital management, bank reconciliations, and monitoring expenses to enhance cash efficiency.
- Contribute to budgeting and financial forecasting efforts; analyze financial metrics to identify cost reduction opportunities and prepare budget variance analyses.
- Maintain robust internal financial controls, facilitate audit processes, uphold comprehensive documentation, and evaluate financial risks with recommendations for mitigation.
- If applicable, manage and mentor accounting personnel by assigning duties, overseeing performance, and providing training and development.
Additional Details
Salary Range: ₹35,000 to ₹40,000 per month.
