WPP Media is the AI-led media division of WPP, uniting media, data, and partnerships to create personalised creative work at scale. The team supports brands in navigating today’s marketing landscape and finding the breakthroughs needed to connect with consumers. The agency is designed for the data-driven communications world, with a focus on experimentation, learning, and continuous evolution.
Role Overview
The Paid Social team plans and runs high-performing social advertising campaigns across multiple social platforms. The team is based at EssenceMediacom’s office at 1 Southwark Bridge Road in London.
In this senior account executive role, you will build your expertise across the full paid social process, from campaign activation through to reporting. You will help deliver award-winning work in a fast-paced agency environment that places strong emphasis on training and development.
Responsibilities
- Set up paid social campaigns end to end across the relevant social platforms.
- Carry out routine QA checks to confirm campaigns follow agreed best-practice standards.
- Track campaign delivery and pacing, then troubleshoot and optimise activity to support stronger performance.
- Create accurate weekly and monthly performance reports, often using Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare written performance commentary with insights and recommendations for clients.
- Support deeper analysis such as end-of-campaign reporting, quarterly and annual reviews, and one-off project work.
- Work closely with your line manager, the wider team, and the Global Hub team to help deliver high-quality client output.
- Collaborate with partners and attend regular platform training to strengthen paid social knowledge.
- Manage your own workload and communicate clearly and promptly with internal and external stakeholders through email, chat, video, and in person.
- Participate in internal meetings and training sessions to contribute to a supportive paid social team culture.
- Follow the agency’s mandatory finance procedures to support timely invoicing, prompt payment, and reduced finance queries.
Requirements
- Some experience or working knowledge of paid advertising across major social channels.
- Ability to learn campaign activation, reporting, analysis, and optimisation tasks in a busy agency setting.
- Comfort working with Excel for reporting and performance analysis.
- Strong attention to detail for QA, reporting accuracy, and finance process compliance.
- Good communication skills for dealing with colleagues, partners, and clients across different channels.
- Willingness to attend training sessions and keep developing your paid social expertise.
- Ability to organise workload effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
Culture and Values
WPP Media expects people to work in line with its shared values: doing exceptional work by leading together, creating an open and trusted environment, and supporting growth and development with optimism.
Benefits
Employees gain access to WPP Media and WPP’s broader global network, offering opportunities to grow professionally, build meaningful connections, and learn at the forefront of marketing and advertising.
