About Airbnb and Our Hotels Team

Founded in 2007 with a simple goal of welcoming guests into homes, Airbnb has since expanded to over 5 million hosts globally and facilitated more than 2 billion guest arrivals across nearly every country. Our hosts offer unique stays and experiences that foster authentic community connections.

The Hotels team at Airbnb is a dynamic and rapidly growing group focused on expanding our footprint in the hotel industry. With an entrepreneurial approach, this team prioritizes simplicity, product excellence, and a guest-focused philosophy. The mission is to provide guests with the easiest and most seamless hotel booking experience while enabling independent and boutique hotels to increase bookings and focus on delivering exceptional hospitality. Ultimately, we want to help guests discover quality hotels and create valuable partnerships for our hotel collaborators.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Account Executive within the Hotels team, your primary responsibility is to convert prospective leads into new hotel partners, specifically aiding new market launches and meeting quarterly target goals. You will engage across the entire sales funnel, transforming cold leads into promising sales chances and helping reinforce Airbnb’s Hotels presence through teamwork and strategic collaboration.

  • Own and surpass key performance indicators for the assigned region.
  • Identify and prospect potential hotel partners through research, networking, and utilizing Airbnb’s internal tools.
  • Execute targeted sales campaigns, negotiate agreements, and close deals with hotels.
  • Effectively communicate Airbnb’s unique value proposition via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Qualify leads and rapidly advance them through the sales pipeline to add new hotel listings, meeting quarterly objectives.
  • Lead new market launches by generating leads and coordinating cross-team efforts.
  • Assist with onboarding hotels secured through sales efforts as needed.
  • Develop scalable strategies that maximize business impact across a diverse hotel partner portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel and serviced apartment partners by demonstrating thorough knowledge of Airbnb’s platform and confidently presenting its benefits.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience, ideally with a background in fast-paced startup technology or hospitality sales or account management.
  • Previous experience within hospitality is favorable.
  • Fluency in English and the local language relevant to the job location is required.
  • Capacity to deliver results amidst shifting priorities, projects, and deadlines.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills; detail-oriented yet able to move quickly.
  • Proven ability to build and influence strong partner relationships.
  • Skill in balancing routine responsibilities with strategic, long-term initiatives.
  • Quick learner mentality and willingness to take initiative, embracing lessons from any setbacks.

Work Location

This role requires the successful candidate to be physically based in New York City to fulfill the job requirements. Eligibility to work in specific states will be provided if employed by a different Airbnb entity.

Inclusion and Accessibility

Airbnb is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce that drives innovation and creative problem-solving. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply. We are committed to accessibility during hiring and welcome candidates with disabilities to request accommodations for the application process by contacting us directly.
