About the role

This opening is for a Security Officer at The Singapore EDITION in Singapore. The role sits within loss prevention and security and is a non-management full-time position based on site at 38 Cuscaden Road, Singapore 249731.

What you will do

  • Carry out patrols across the property and help guests access rooms when needed.
  • Keep an eye on CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire and life safety systems.
  • Secure property entrances whenever required.
  • Perform daily checks to spot physical hazards.
  • Respond to accidents, provide first aid or CPR where appropriate, and contact emergency medical services when needed.
  • Support guests and employees during emergencies and notify the right people after accidents, assaults, or other incidents.
  • Calm guest or employee disturbances and involve outside support if the situation calls for it.
  • Prepare incident reports for all security and loss-prevention events.
  • Manage interruptions, complaints, and safety risks while helping maintain orderly operations.
  • Remove unwelcome individuals from the property in a way that does not disrupt operations.
  • Respond to vehicle accidents and thefts, using approved code responses when requesting help.
  • Complete shift summaries and daily activity reports for loss prevention.
  • Keep security and property records confidential and share information only with authorized people.
  • Carry out investigations, collect evidence, and interview relevant parties.

  • Support guests with disabilities and show appreciation in a professional manner.
  • Communicate clearly, prepare accurate written documents, and build positive team relationships.
  • Work collaboratively toward shared goals and meet quality standards.
  • Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods, including entire shifts when needed.
  • Read and verify information in different formats, inspect equipment visually, and use computers or point-of-sale systems to enter or find job-related information.
  • Move quickly to respond to situations, including running, walking, or jogging.
  • Handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and more than 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Use fine motor skills, move through narrow or elevated spaces, navigate uneven or slippery surfaces, climb stairs or ramps, and bend, twist, pull, stoop, and reach overhead or below the knees.
  • Complete any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
  • Note: Some states may require extra licensing or registration for this role.
