Security Compliance Officer

Role overview

Join a Qatar-based technology company as a Security Compliance Officer in Lusail. The role is centered on coordinating security audits, strengthening compliance processes, and helping ensure that internal controls, policies, and procedures remain aligned with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead security and compliance audits, including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and regulatory reviews.
• Serve as the primary liaison for auditors and internal teams throughout the audit cycle.
• Gather, validate, and organize audit evidence so it is complete, accurate, and ready for review.
• Monitor audit observations, non-conformities, and corrective actions until closure.
• Assist with building, updating, and maintaining security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Support ongoing adherence to relevant standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001 and data protection laws.
• Keep compliance trackers, risk registers, and audit records current and well-organized.
• Contribute to vendor risk reviews and third-party compliance assessments.
• Follow up with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance tasks are completed on time.
• Help communicate security policy expectations and compliance requirements across the organization.

Requirements

• Between 1 and 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, risk, or compliance.
• Practical exposure to supporting or coordinating security audits.
• Working knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS.
• Awareness of GCC regulatory requirements, including Qatar PDPPL and Kuwait CITRA.
• Strong planning, organization, and project coordination abilities.
• Comfort managing multiple stakeholders and following up effectively.
• Experience handling documentation, evidence gathering, and tracking tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-have

• Exposure to GRC platforms.
• Basic familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS and GCP.
• Relevant certifications, or progress toward certifications, such as ISO 27001 Foundation/Lead Implementer, Security+, CISA, or similar.
