Role Overview

To uphold security and ensure operational stability, we seek a detail-oriented Security and Loss Prevention Specialist to support our sites. This role focuses on delivering security services to safeguard personnel and prevent losses across our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily security procedures including regular physical inspections of assigned locations.
• Support business resilience by contributing to emergency response and crisis management plans.
• Identify vulnerabilities such as losses or process gaps, propose effective mitigation strategies while adhering to legal and ethical requirements.
• Act as primary security liaison with local management and external partners like law enforcement and industry groups.
• Ensure sites comply with global security policies and standards.

Typical Daily Tasks

As an SLP Specialist, you will engage directly in security operations such as physical patrols, CCTV monitoring, and responding to security concerns. You will audit security practices, investigate incidents or policy breaches, collect data through system analysis and interviews, and enforce corrective actions. Collaborating closely with external security vendors and internal departments, you will maintain physical security systems and serve as a security subject matter expert. Additionally, you will lead loss prevention training and coordinate across management levels on policy enforcement.

Part of the Worldwide Operations Security unit, the Security and Loss Prevention team safeguards Amazon’s business goals and brand by managing risks posed by threats that could endanger personnel, disrupt operations, damage assets, or harm reputation. The team conducts prevention, intervention, and thorough investigation of incidents to eliminate root causes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic qualification.
• Experience in security and loss prevention roles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel for data analysis.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant academic degree, equivalent certificate, or industry certification.
• Experience with physical security technology, investigative methods, or managing contract security personnel.
• Background in retail, warehouse, distribution, delivery services, or supply chain sectors.
• Experience working with data sets.
