Overview

The Senior QHSES Assurance Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing the Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (QHSES) assurance framework within the organization. Leveraging extensive expertise, this specialist supports colleagues with less experience and drives improvements in products and services by resolving complex challenges and applying discipline-specific knowledge. The role encompasses collaboration across customer, operational, project, and service functions, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate the development and implementation of a new management system.
• Collaborate with Functional Process Subject Matter Experts to lead significant quality system initiatives.
• Work alongside Quality Directors to address and resolve multifaceted quality issues affecting multiple functions.
• Manage document quality control attributes to ensure accurate system reporting.
• Assist in phasing out outdated procedures from legacy systems.
• Conduct training sessions for new team members on quality assurance processes.
• Contribute to the design, deployment, and enforcement of standardized company document templates for all related records.
• Provide expert advice on best practices for document creation and management within the system.
• Report progress and status updates as outlined in execution plans or as requested by management.
• Communicate effectively across departments, advocating for adoption of quality management methods.
• Develop, organize, draft, and revise engineering and company procedures and related documents.
• Ensure consistency in document style and content quality.
• Recommend improvements to enhance clarity and ease of understanding in documentation.
• Maintain and update technical literature as needed.
• Perform rigorous quality checks focusing on grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.
• Prepare and review procedures and work instructions essential for project quality assurance.
• Support project bids by providing quality-related insights and documentation.
• Conduct scheduled internal and external audits and deliver timely reports.
• Monitor KPIs, Quality Indicators, and performance metrics; conduct trend analyses; promote ground-level documentation for benchmarking and lessons learned across units.
• Analyze data trends to assist target setting, planning, and formulation of action plans for continual improvement and compliance verification.
• Lead and execute Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for quality-related concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) or fabrication environments.
• Proven ability to function both as a collaborative team member and as a leader.
• Adaptability to meet organizational needs in a dynamic business context.
• Strong decision-making, analytical, and organizational capabilities for data evaluation and trend analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work tactfully and effectively across departments.
• Proficient communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Competent with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• High attention to detail and skilled in prioritization and multitasking.
• Ability to create explanatory and procedural content tailored for diverse audiences.
• Experience with document management is advantageous.
• Capability to navigate complex scenarios where standardization is limited.
• Understanding of Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Preferred certifications include ISO9001, AS9100, AS9110, or equivalent Quality Management Systems Internal Auditor training.
• Skilled in translating complex concepts into simplified written and visual instructional materials, incorporating stakeholder feedback for continuous enhancement.
• Strong communication skills across organizational levels with the ability to clarify intricate technical issues.
