About the Role

This contract position entails working on-site at Boeing’s satellite manufacturing and testing facilities to provide high-quality video and photographic documentation. The scientific videographer will capture detailed visuals that highlight Boeing’s aerospace manufacturing precision and innovations, supporting project communication across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture detailed, high-resolution video and photographs of satellite production and testing operations using ENG and mirrorless cameras.
  • Set up and operate professional video equipment including cameras, lighting rigs, tripods, and audio devices, applying advanced techniques such as three-point lighting to achieve optimal image and sound quality.
  • Edit video footage using Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software, performing tasks like title creation, audio mixing, color corrections, and preparing final deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and communication departments to ensure visual assets accurately represent aerospace advancements.
  • Handle media management tasks by offloading, organizing, and securely storing video and photo files according to Boeing's data protocols.
  • Provide audio support for video interviews and execute creative direction professionally.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot video and photography equipment to ensure operational readiness and adherence to safety standards.
  • Optionally use high-speed or high-frame rate cameras such as Phantom for specialized filming when needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven expertise in operating ENG and mirrorless video cameras, alongside strong photographic skills.
  • Sound knowledge of video production principles including composition, exposure, lighting (especially three-point lighting), and audio capture techniques.
  • Proficiency in video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro with abilities in assembling footage, color grading, audio mixing, and titling.
  • Capability to capture high-quality stills to complement video content.
  • Strong organizational competency in managing digital media assets while following data storage requirements.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate efficiently in a fast-paced technical setting.
  • Strict adherence to safety procedures within aerospace manufacturing environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-speed or high-frame rate video technologies.
  • Background knowledge in aerospace, manufacturing, or technical video production areas.
  • Familiarity with virtual production workflows and emerging media technologies.

Working Environment

  • Work will be performed within satellite manufacturing and testing sites, complying with Boeing's operational and safety standards.
  • May require handling specialized lighting and audio equipment in controlled indoor settings.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The pay rate for this contract ranges between 46 and 51 USD per hour.

Additional Information

This opportunity is a contract role, not a full-time Boeing employment, and workers will be engaged through a Boeing-approved third party for the project duration.
