Overview
This is a remote contract opportunity for a Scientific & Laboratory Operations Specialist supporting high-quality scientific data work. The position is focused on reviewing technical materials, checking visual outputs for accuracy, and helping shape data used for AI training.
Compensation is set at $50 to $70 per hour. The expected workload is flexible, ranging from 10 to 40 hours each week.
What you will do
- Examine scientific charts, lab reports, figures, and experimental outcomes to confirm they are clear and accurate.
- Evaluate dashboards and scientific visuals, then provide informed feedback on their correctness and presentation quality.
- Develop scoring rubrics and evaluation criteria for understanding technical documents and visual scientific data.
- Read, interpret, and condense complex scientific material to support AI dataset creation.
- Record findings, call out discrepancies, and suggest ways to improve scientific precision.
- Work with cross-functional partners to deliver strong project outcomes.
What we are looking for
- Substantial hands-on background in scientific, laboratory, research, manufacturing, or quality-focused environments.
- Proven capability to assess scientific figures, experiment outputs, and technical literature with a critical eye.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills applied to complex scientific information.
- Comfort reviewing dashboards, graphs, and other scientific visualizations for integrity and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for clear documentation and constructive feedback.
