Job description
Role overview
A highly experienced Science Tutor is required for a prestigious ultra-high-net-worth family in Saudi Arabia. The role is based in Riyadh and involves delivering tailored one-to-one tuition for a student at KS3, KS4 and KS5 level. This is a full-time residential position with face-to-face teaching inside the family home, and it may also involve occasional travel within Saudi Arabia as well as international travel, depending on the family’s arrangements.
The opportunity is best suited to a UK-trained Science Teacher with a consistent career background in respected UK schools or British international schools, together with solid experience teaching Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel programmes. The tutor will report to the Education Team Leader and will be expected to plan, design and deliver personalised Science learning that matches the student’s pace, needs and preferred learning style.
Working hours are full-time at 40 hours per week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with travel as required. The role starts as soon as possible and is offered on a renewable one-year contract basis.

- Apply practical, interactive and experiential approaches to make learning more engaging and effective.
- Monitor student progress using both ongoing classroom checks and more formal assessments.
- Offer clear academic feedback along with practical guidance for improvement.
- Keep accurate records of progress, milestones, achievements and learning objectives.
- Encourage analytical thinking, self-reliance, resilience and a positive growth mindset.
- Recognise any additional learning or academic support needs and respond appropriately.
Candidate profile
- Strong subject specialism in Science and Secondary Education is essential.
- Applicants should have proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4, ideally KS5 as well, in UK or British international schools.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and highly personalised learning is important.
- Good knowledge of UK and international curricula, especially Pearson Edexcel, is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills are required for working with both students and parents.
- The successful candidate should be organised, adaptable and confident in their teaching style.
- A professional manner and a high level of discretion are essential.
- The ability to travel independently is required.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Science or a closely related discipline is required.
- QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification is required.
- At least 3 years of full-time post-qualification teaching experience is required.
- Previous experience teaching the Pearson Edexcel curriculum in a UK or international setting is required.
Package and benefits
- Tax-free pay of approximately £4,700 per month.
- Single accommodation in a compound is provided.
- Transportation is included.
- Comprehensive medical cover is offered.
