Role Overview

North Bay residents are invited to explore a school bus driving opportunity with East Ferris Bus Lines. This role is suited to parents, retirees, empty nesters, and community-focused people who want a meaningful job that fits around their day. The position offers a schedule that leaves midday hours free, making it easier to manage family time, hobbies, appointments, travel, and other personal commitments while contributing to the local student community.

Open House Details

An open house is being held on Wednesday, July 14th to meet the team, learn about the workplace, and ask questions about the role.

  • Date: Wednesday, July 14th
  • Time: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Location: 700 Lakeshore Drive, North Bay, Ontario, P1A 2G4
  • Position being hired for: School Bus Drivers

Candidates unable to attend in person can still apply online. To reserve a spot at the event, applicants are asked to submit an application and confirm their attendance.

Requirements

  • You must hold at least a G-class driver's licence, or another commercial licence such as A, B, C, E, or F.
  • A free licence upgrade may be available for a qualified Ontario full G licence holder, though preference will be given to drivers who already have experience with an upgraded licence.
  • You need to be 21 years of age or older.
  • A clean driving abstract must be available.
  • You must have a clear criminal record search and vulnerable sector check, with a recent copy dated within the last 6 months, or be willing to obtain one.
  • Strong customer service ability and a professional manner are required.
  • Advanced English communication skills are necessary.
  • You should be able to drive safely and defensively.
  • The role requires the ability to work independently.
