Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and handle faxed requests to arrange outpatient test appointments
- Complete patient pre-registration and confirm that valid provider orders are in place
- Deliver courteous customer support while addressing patient questions and scheduling requirements
- Work with a solid understanding of insurance payors, including commercial, government, and third-party plans
- Coordinate with healthcare teams to help patient access and care run smoothly
Requirements
- At least 1 year of prior experience in radiology scheduling or patient access
- High school diploma or GED
- Working knowledge of medical terminology plus CPT and ICD-10 codes
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with limited oversight
- Strong multitasking ability and comfort in a busy, fast-moving setting
