Scheduler / Pre-Registrar

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and handle faxed requests to arrange outpatient test appointments
• Complete patient pre-registration and confirm that valid provider orders are in place
• Deliver courteous customer support while addressing patient questions and scheduling requirements
• Work with a solid understanding of insurance payors, including commercial, government, and third-party plans
• Coordinate with healthcare teams to help patient access and care run smoothly

Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior experience in radiology scheduling or patient access
• High school diploma or GED
• Working knowledge of medical terminology plus CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with limited oversight
• Strong multitasking ability and comfort in a busy, fast-moving setting

• Previous experience working in healthcare with a patient care focus

• Familiarity with different insurance payors and related processes
