Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and handle faxed requests to arrange outpatient testing appointments
- Carry out pre-registration for scheduled patients and confirm that a valid provider order is in place
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the scheduling process
- Work with healthcare providers to coordinate patient appointments efficiently
- Keep patient records and scheduling details accurate and up to date
Requirements
- At least 1 year of prior experience in radiology scheduling or patient access
- Working knowledge of insurance payors, including commercial, government, and third-party plans
- Strong compassion and a genuine commitment to safe, high-quality patient care
- Healthcare office experience, along with familiarity with medical terminology and CPT/ICD-10 coding concepts
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working remotely with limited supervision
- Strong time management and multitasking ability
- Exposure to healthcare scheduling software or systems
