SAP Fiori ABAP Consultant

Role Overview

This position is for an SAP Fiori ABAP Consultant who can combine strong ABAP development expertise with practical experience in SAP Fiori/UI5. Key Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP components such as reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and conversion objects.
• Create and support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, along with OData services and related APIs.
• Work with CDS views, AMDP, and other performance-oriented ABAP on HANA techniques.
• Partner with functional consultants to understand requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Improve existing SAP applications and resolve issues that arise in production.
• Follow development standards and coding practices to maintain code quality.

Technical Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of SAP ABAP, especially RICEFW development.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData service development.
• Solid understanding of ABAP on HANA concepts, including CDS views and AMDP.
• Experience using enhancement framework tools such as BADI and user exits.
• Ability to debug, tune performance, and optimize code effectively.
• Capability to extend standard Fiori apps and build custom Fiori solutions.
• Experience implementing routing, navigation, and data binding in UI5 applications.
• Knowledge of Fiori Launchpad configuration, app types, and Launchpad concepts.

Preferred Background

• Functional or process understanding in PP, QM, or PM modules is an advantage.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum delivery environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP Gateway and Fiori Launchpad setup is useful.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
