SAP BASIS HANA Specialist

Role Overview

This role calls for an experienced SAP BASIS professional with substantial expertise in SAP HANA environments, possessing between four and eight years of relevant experience. The candidate will manage SAP system installations, configurations, administration, and performance tuning to ensure smooth operational uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and configuration of SAP systems including HANA platforms.
• Overseeing ongoing system performance monitoring and tuning to optimize functionality.
• Maintenance of SAP systems including upgrades and package support.
• Managing transport mechanisms to support change and release management.
• Execution of backup and recovery procedures across SAP HANA and Oracle databases.
• Comprehensive database administration tasks including SQL, Oracle, and HANA databases.
• System refresh processes and backup verifications to maintain data integrity.
• Support and configuration of high availability SAP environments.
• Managing peripheral resources such as printer setups.
• Configuring and maintaining Solution Manager tools including alerts, change request management (ChaRM), and dashboard functionality.
• Handling SAP Archiving solutions, specifically Open Text implementations.
• Resolving day-to-day user queries and providing enhancement support based on requirements.
• Conducting business process analysis and documentation to align SAP capabilities with current operations.
• Administration and support for BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS).
• Implementation and management of BTP technologies including CPI, CPEA, and Cloud Connector.
• Managing SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation) replication processes.

Candidate Requirements

• Four to eight years of practical experience in SAP BASIS with a focus on HANA environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Proven skills in performance tuning and system monitoring.
• Experience managing backups, restorations, and refreshes of SAP HANA and Oracle databases.
• Competency in database administration across multiple platforms including SQL.
• Excellent understanding of transport management and solution manager configuration.
• Capability to administer high availability environments and printer management.
• Practical experience with SAP archiving and enhancement implementations.
• Familiarity with BODS administration and SAP cloud technologies (BTP CPI, CPEA, Cloud Connector).
• Experience with SLT replication and supporting end-user business requirements.
