Position Overview
Join Lidl & Kaufland Asia as an AI Specialist focused on advancing the adoption and enhancement of Generative AI tools to support data-driven business decisions. Reporting directly to the Senior Analytics Manager, this role requires close collaboration with business partners and data teams to translate intricate business challenges into refined Large Language Model (LLM) prompts, autonomous workflows, and conversational AI systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Convert elaborate business needs and natural language inputs into effective, precise, and scalable LLM prompts.
- Develop, test, and maintain prompt versions tailored for the company’s primary tech stack, including Google Cloud Platform, Databricks, and Gemini.
- Create specialized prompts and instructions that empower AI agents to conduct complex multi-step reasoning and autonomous task executions.
- Build context-aware prompts leveraging Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks to base AI outputs on proprietary business information.
- Assess and iteratively improve prompt performance and underlying AI models to produce accurate, reliable, and contextually appropriate results.
- Break down multifaceted business issues into logical steps that an LLM can effectively process and respond to.
- Design and refine conversational architectures and intent-recognition criteria that power AI chat interfaces integrated with the Enterprise Looker reporting tool.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure semantic layers, metadata, and data definitions facilitate accurate interpretation and querying by Gemini AI.
- Implement and refine feedback mechanisms between end users and technical teams to enhance AI-driven reporting solutions continuously.
- Partner with AI engineers on RAG and agent orchestration implementations, providing insights on retrieval quality, data chunking, and semantic search techniques.
- Stay current with latest innovations and best practices in Generative AI and prompt engineering.
- Document and develop prompt libraries and act as the in-house authority on prompt design and LLM behavior.
- Work with the Analytics team to share knowledge and train stakeholders on optimal AI tool utilization.
- Contribute to various ad-hoc AI and analytics projects as needed.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related disciplines.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in AI/ML, Data Science, or NLP engineering with practical expertise in advanced prompt engineering, AI agent configurations, and conversational analytics.
- Proficient use of Google Cloud Platform and Google Workspace environments.
- Expert understanding of designing prompts specifically for Google Gemini; familiarity with other LLM platforms such as OpenAI GPT or Anthropic Claude is advantageous.
- Experience with Looker Studio and building or integrating conversational AI or chatbots with BI dashboards.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to bridge technical AI concepts with business stakeholders.
- Highly self-driven with a proactive mindset, capable of independent project management and problem-solving.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and adapt to dynamic, fast-moving work environments.
