About the Role

If you have a passion for travel and want to advance your career in the travel industry, this opportunity as a Sales Travel Consultant at Flight Centre's Sydney CBD store is for you. You will help customers design travel itineraries and book various travel arrangements while building meaningful connections and expanding your industry knowledge in a vibrant retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work full-time on-site with a rotating schedule covering a 7-day trading week in retail stores.
  • Create customized travel plans and handle bookings including flights, accommodations, car rentals, tours, travel insurance, cruises, and transfers for clients in person, by phone, and email.
  • Meet individual sales targets and KPIs by promoting complete holiday packages.
  • Develop and maintain a loyal customer base through regular domestic and international bookings.
  • Provide expert travel advice, including visa information, travel timing, packing suggestions, dining recommendations, and travel avoidance tips.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experienced traveler with extensive international travel history and enthusiasm for sharing travel knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including effective calendar management and prompt communication with customers.
  • Strong motivation to achieve sales goals while managing a high-volume and fast-paced workload with multiple customer interactions.
  • Friendly and engaging personality that inspires trust and repeat business.
  • Computer proficiency with the ability to operate various complex booking systems simultaneously.

Benefits and Compensation

  • A guaranteed base wage boosted to $65,000 per annum during the first 90 days training period.
  • Average annual earnings around $70,000 for first-year travel consultants, with senior roles and team leaders earning up to $100,000 and $138,000 respectively (including superannuation and penalty rates).
