Role Overview

The Sales Representative assigned to the East Coast Air Force sector will build and nurture client connections by delivering mission-aligned product solutions and simplifying procurement challenges. This role encompasses prospecting, managing accounts, and engaging with end-users within specified agencies and departments. The incumbent will create and execute targeted sales and geographic strategies in collaboration with the Director of Sales while balancing multiple priorities efficiently. A professional demeanor and a proactive, positive attitude are essential.

Geographical Scope

This position covers numerous military installations, including Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Dover AFB, and others across the East Coast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Surpass quarterly and annual sales and profit targets.
  • Build and maintain vendor and customer relationships within assigned regions and explore new market opportunities.
  • Manage and communicate weekly sales pipelines, including opportunities, quotations, and orders.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop bids and contract proposals for equipment and services.
  • Conduct travel to client sites and attend relevant industry events to foster sales growth.
  • Gather and share competitive and market intelligence to inform company strategies.
  • Prepare price quotes, determine credit and contract conditions, and confirm delivery schedules.
  • Utilize CRM and ERP platforms to process sales quotes and orders.
  • Support Inside Sales by assisting with data entry, quote generation, and identifying funding opportunities.
  • Recommend suitable products aligned with customer requirements.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as sales reporting, recordkeeping, and expense documentation per company timelines.
  • Engage with product development teams to suggest enhancements or adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate processing of quotes received through various channels.
  • Develop marketing strategies to generate leads within existing territories.
  • Implement collaborative sales approaches involving inside/outside teams, vendor relations, and dealer coordination.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, business partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end customer sales lifecycle.
  • Maintain organized scheduling for client interactions, travel, and sales pipeline management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Working knowledge of Government Sales processes and Federal Contracting procedures.
  • Experience engaging with Department of Defense, Military, Federal Agencies, and Law Enforcement clients.
  • Capability to meet deadlines independently with minimal supervision.
  • Negotiation proficiency.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to obtain security clearance if necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree accompanied by three years of sales experience, or alternatively, five years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite software.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and internet research skills.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is advantageous.

Working Conditions and Environment

  • The role primarily involves office work while also requiring visits to diverse customer sites.
  • Administrative duties may be conducted from a home-based office.
