Role Overview
We seek a proficient Sales Manager to foster offline sales growth and broaden our product footprint in the New Zealand market. This role entails managing distributor relations, extending retail partnerships, and consistently driving revenue across pivotal sales channels. The position requires a strategic thinker equipped with on-ground operational expertise and robust commercial insight.
Key Duties
- Formulate and execute offline sales plans aimed at meeting revenue goals and enhancing market coverage throughout New Zealand.
- Establish and nurture strong alliances with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers ensuring product accessibility and visibility.
- Discover and incorporate new retail collaborators; negotiate terms and promotions to boost market penetration.
- Collaborate closely with retail partners to enhance merchandising, in-store displays, and promotional efforts, improving product turnover.
- Regularly track market developments, competitor actions, and customer feedback to provide strategic insights for informed business decisions.
- Keep abreast of sales data, inventory, and sell-through rates to fine-tune strategies and meet set monthly/quarterly objectives.
- Work synergistically with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to maintain cohesive business operations aligned with sales initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of three years’ experience in offline sales, channel management or business development, ideally within FMCG, health supplements, or consumer product sectors.
- Demonstrated success in managing distributor and retail relationships specifically in New Zealand.
- Strong familiarity with the New Zealand retail scene, including major grocery, pharmacy, and health-focused outlets.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven with a results-oriented approach capable of working autonomously across a remote sales territory.
- Preferred experience in the consumer health or wellness domain.
- Availability to travel frequently within New Zealand to engage retailers and partners.
- An established network of distributor or retailer contacts in New Zealand offers a significant advantage.
