Position Overview

The Area Sales Manager for Custom Line and CRN Yachts in the Americas is tasked with advancing both direct and indirect sales of these yacht brands across the assigned region. This position demands comprehensive expertise in yacht construction, operations, and ownership dynamics, enabling precise advisory support to clients and brokers through deep product and competitive market knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or surpass sales and revenue targets for the designated brand portfolio within Ferretti Group Americas.
  • Conduct market analysis on conditions, demand trends, and competitor pricing to inform sales strategies, inventory decisions, and opportunity cultivation.
  • Act as an authoritative figure on product and market insights, delivering guidance and sales support to clients, brokers, dealers, and internal teams.
  • Assess vessel features, client demands, and owner feedback for optimal product recommendation and commercial decisions.
  • Travel extensively to engage and nurture relationships with buyers, brokers, dealers, owners, and shipyard partners throughout assigned markets.
  • Enhance brand presence and spur business growth via promotional events, partnerships, and dealer network expansion.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and shipyard personnel on annual product requirements, production planning, and management of customer orders and speculative builds.
  • Work closely with brokers and dealers to shape pricing approaches, execute sales, and meet budget goals.
  • Oversee full sales cycles including pricing, documentation, approvals, contract execution, ensuring timely closures.
  • Coordinate across teams such as after-sales, marketing, and sales to optimize customer satisfaction, lead management, CRM use, and commercial outcomes.
  • Support outstanding client service by partnering with the After Sales Team.
  • Manage lead processes with dealers and sales executives to maximize conversions and meet sales targets.
  • Align with Marketing for brand strategies, event planning, advertising, digital/social campaigns, and website content accuracy.
  • Demonstrate leadership, embody company values, and contribute to departmental and company-wide objectives.
  • Commit to frequent travel, including to shipyards in Italy and markets across North and South America, with availability for nights and weekends as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects when assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or related disciplines preferred.
  • At least three years' experience in marine sales, ideally with yacht manufacturers, foreign subsidiaries, or related dealer networks.
  • In-depth knowledge of the luxury yacht and marine industries, preferably familiar with Ferretti Group's brands.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent negotiation abilities and professional demeanor.
  • Fluency in English mandatory; additional language skills advantageous.
  • Proven success in meeting sales goals and delivering tangible results.
  • Technical understanding of yacht engines, vessels, and associated systems favored.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Proficiency in computer tools including the Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Work performed across various indoor and outdoor milieus, including client meetings, interactions with yacht captains and shipyard staff, port representative engagements, and dock or barge vessel inspections.
  • Utilization of standard office technologies such as laptops and copiers.
  • Effective verbal communication, listening, reading, typing, and writing skills are vital.
  • Physical capability to walk, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 30 pounds during job duties and travel.
