Role Summary
The Sales Manager - Leisure will focus on generating leisure business for Raffles & Fairmont Doha, with emphasis on luxury leisure segments and international travel consortia. This position is responsible for building and managing relationships with premium travel partners, including luxury advisors, consortia, and travel programs, to increase room revenue and strengthen both brands’ positioning in Doha.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, expand, and manage a portfolio of luxury leisure accounts such as tour operators, wholesalers, destination management companies, and global luxury consortia.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of luxury leisure channels, especially Consortia, AMEX, FHR, and Virtuoso, along with their program rules and production requirements.
- Spot and pursue new opportunities in important leisure source markets.
- Handle negotiations for leisure agreements, preferred partner terms, rates, and value-added inclusions aligned with brand and revenue strategy.
- Keep rates, promotions, and content accurately updated across all distribution systems.
- Represent the properties at overseas trade shows, roadshows, sales missions, and consortia events.
- Deliver sales calls, presentations, and familiarization trips for luxury travel advisors and business partners.
- Track market movements, competitor activity, and luxury travel demand to inform strategic decisions.
- Work closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations to support pricing, campaigns, and smooth delivery of contracted business.
- Prepare and implement annual leisure sales plans, monitor production and return on investment, and share regular reports and forecasts.
- Serve as a brand representative, ensuring partners clearly understand brand positioning, guest experience standards, and the seamless delivery of all contracted luxury benefits.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in leisure sales, ideally within luxury hotels and/or resorts.
- Hands-on experience with luxury consortia and premium travel programs, including Virtuoso, AMEX, and FHR.
- Solid understanding of global luxury travel distribution and advisor networks.
- Good knowledge of European and American luxury travel markets, including buyer behavior, expectations, and purchase drivers.
- Experience in the Middle East market is preferred.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Professional fluency in English; other languages are a valuable plus.
- Commercially minded and strategically oriented, with a clear focus on driving luxury revenue growth.
