Overview

Graymont is seeking a dedicated Sales & Logistics Finance Analyst for the North American region to join their Richmond, BC office. Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Analysis and Operations Support, this permanent full-time position focuses on utilizing advanced analytical skills, particularly in Excel, to enhance supply chain decision-making and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver analytical assistance to regional teams by conducting research, performing data analysis, and evaluating performance to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Take charge of managing supply chain data, ensuring precise KPI reporting and deriving actionable insights.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing, logistics, sales, and marketing operations within the region and their interrelations.
  • Support business case development for logistics capital projects, including preparing cost justifications and investment propositions.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities for Freight-to-Terminal (FTT), Freight-to-Customer (FTC), and Terminal Operating Costs (TOC), synchronized with planning schedules.
  • Perform variance analyses covering volume, pricing, transportation mode adjustments, sourcing variations, and budget variances.
  • Manage the CAM freight budgeting process and contribute significantly to financial planning tasks.
  • Ensure the generation of prompt and accurate performance reports, including OTIFIC metrics (On Time, In Full, Invoiced Correctly).
  • Maintain exceptional data accuracy across all supply chain-related systems and reporting mechanisms.
  • Track and analyze fleet and fixed asset utilization metrics, factoring in cost per unit.
  • Promote cost reduction strategies through analyzing and executing network optimization initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supply chain performance continuously and recommend practical solutions.
  • Oversee North American sales forecasting processes ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timely updates.
  • Act as the Business Process Owner (BPO) for the CAM system by providing user training and support.
  • Collaborate with global teams to enhance forecasting methods, including exploring Salesforce migration and predictive analytics.
  • Conduct pricing analysis to support margin optimization and strategy development across diverse market segments.
  • Create tools to monitor competitive pricing and gather real-time market intelligence.
  • Develop standardized frameworks to assess pricing events and evaluate business opportunities across the regions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in supply chain analytics, forecasting, pricing strategy, or operational planning within manufacturing, logistics, or B2B environments; recent graduates meeting educational criteria are also invited to apply.
  • Preferred professional certifications such as APICS, CSCP, or CPIM in logistics or supply chain fields.
  • Proficient with financial software and tools including JD Edwards (JDE), Cognos, and advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau and forecasting systems like CAM or Salesforce is considered an asset.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain operations encompassing logistics, forecasting, and cost modeling (FTT, FTC, TOC).
  • Expertise in variance and pricing analysis to support strategic business decisions.
  • Competence in KPI reporting, particularly OTIFIC metrics, and performance evaluations.
