Role Overview
The Sales Director Europe – Newborn Care is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and accelerating commercial growth across diverse European markets. This position requires deep familiarity with the newborn care sector, market dynamics, and the ability to drive both direct sales expansions and distributor management.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy for the European newborn care market, focusing on direct and distribution channels.
- Grow regional revenues and market share, ensuring profitability goals are met or exceeded.
- Establish and nurture relationships with strategic customers, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers, and procurement teams.
- Oversee the successful transition of select distribution markets to direct sales, safeguarding existing partnerships and revenues throughout process changes.
- Drive market entry in new segments and maintain business continuity in countries undergoing transformation.
- Apply robust pipeline and funnel management across all European operations, with attention to opportunity tracking, accurate sales forecasting, and discipline in sales processes.
- Utilize CRM systems and instill data-driven approaches to continuously refine commercial performance and measure KPI outcomes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in market trends, customer needs, reimbursement, and regulatory frameworks relating to newborn care.
- Collaborate closely with functional leaders in Marketing, Product Management, Clinical Affairs, Service, and Operations.
- Participate in organizational strategy planning, develop operational partnerships, and represent the company at industry events and executive forums.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, with preference for candidates holding a Master’s degree or MBA.
- Significant commercial experience within medical devices, healthcare technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership of European, multi-country sales teams, with proven success both in direct sales and distributor management.
- In-depth knowledge of newborn/neonatal care markets, healthcare customer processes, and network relationships within the industry.
- Proficiency in sales pipeline management, forecasting, and performance measurement.
- Strong capacity for strategic and operational planning, with advanced financial expertise.
- Ability to scale sales organizations across international markets, coupled with established networks in neonatal hospitals and healthcare systems.
