Position Overview
This entry-level Sales Customer Support Advisor role offers an opportunity to launch a career in customer service within a dynamic, technology-focused company. Candidates will engage with Tesla customers primarily through inbound communications and be part of a supportive team environment, either full or part-time (minimum 18 hours per week), working onsite in Mulgrave, Victoria.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial contact point for customers using Tesla's digital and phone channels, addressing inquiries professionally and with clarity.
- Provide accurate and helpful responses to inbound phone calls, emails, and SMS, maintaining communication that aligns with Tesla's brand and values.
- Document customer interactions carefully and update internal systems accordingly.
- Escalate complex issues to senior team members when necessary.
- Participate in customer-facing activities such as facilitating test drives, supporting vehicle delivery handovers, and assisting at events during weekends.
- Support lead generation efforts at pop-up events by engaging with potential customers.
- Take part in onboarding and ongoing training to develop a comprehensive understanding of Tesla products, services, tools, and sales processes.
- Collaborate with the Virtual Tesla Advisor team and take part in regular coaching and knowledge sessions.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- No prior experience in sales or the automotive sector is required; an enthusiastic attitude and a readiness to learn are essential.
- Availability to work at least 18 hours weekly over three shifts from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends during busy periods.
- Currently studying or recently graduated from university, TAFE, or an equivalent institution.
- A genuine interest in technology, innovation, and Tesla's mission.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of adapting tone appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a composed demeanor under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Dependability, punctuality, and personal accountability.
- Basic computer skills and quick adaptability to new software and systems.
- Right to work in Australia, including valid work rights for student visa holders.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory.
Additional Information
This role does not involve managing sales or delivery pipelines initially but focuses on understanding the business and developing customer communication skills within the Virtual Tesla Advisor team. Weekend involvement includes hands-on customer interaction experiences to further growth and familiarity with the company's operations.
