Role Overview
The Legal Project Coordinator supports Tesla's Legal Operations and global Legal teams, focusing on enhancing efficiency and facilitating collaboration within a fast-moving environment. This role ensures smooth execution of legal projects and daily operational tasks.
Core Responsibilities
- Implement project management tools and best practices to optimize workflows, boost operational efficiency, and uncover cost reduction opportunities.
- Oversee and refine legal systems, document management solutions, databases, and knowledge resources to keep legal information accurate, compliant, and readily available.
- Manage legal document repositories and records including organization, retention, indexing, and governance aligned with company and legal standards.
- Process and route incoming legal correspondence, mail, and legal operations requests appropriately, including managing legal email ticketing.
- Assist with Legal Operations and interdepartmental initiatives by investigating invoicing tax errors, billing inconsistencies, and resolving system issues, alongside assorted administrative and project tasks as directed by leadership.
Candidate Profile
- Education in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, Project Management, or comparable experience.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years' background in legal operations, financial analysis, project coordination, project management, or professional services; prior legal industry exposure favored.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, and the ability to analyze and present business insights effectively.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities to identify trends, resolve billing and invoicing issues, and suggest functional process enhancements.
- Experience handling records, document repositories, databases, or enterprise systems with prime focus on data accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and customer service proficiency, ability to juggle multiple priorities, coordinate diverse stakeholders, support educational initiatives, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand context.
