About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to spearhead the implementation and enforcement of a top-tier safety and security framework within a dynamic third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse environment in Riyadh. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the protection of employees, visitors, and inventory by executing comprehensive HSE measures strictly aligned with applicable Saudi regulations and standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough hazard and risk assessments across warehouse operations.
- Manage and optimize warehouse traffic to ensure smooth, safe flows.
- Lead investigations into incidents and conduct emergency response drills.
- Uphold a zero-harm safety culture throughout all operational activities.
- Ensure full compliance with Saudi Labor Law, HRSD, and Saudi Civil Defense requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Academic background: Bachelor's degree or three-year diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Logistics, or relevant disciplines.
- Proven experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in a Safety Officer role within 3PL, logistics, or warehousing sectors in Saudi Arabia.
- Regulatory expertise: Strong knowledge and practical implementation of Saudi Labor Law, HRSD OSH standards, and Saudi Civil Defense codes.
- Certifications: Holding NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or OSHA 30-hour safety certification is mandatory.
- Technical capabilities: Familiarity with warehouse-related hazards including racking inspections, forklift and material handling equipment safety, traffic management, Permit to Work (PTW), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Languages: Fluency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written) at a professional level.
- Additional advantages: Expertise in Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) standards, HACCP, or ISO 22000 food safety management is considered a plus.
