Role Summary and Responsibilities
You will independently manage a caseload through thorough assessments, precise diagnoses, and delivering evidence-based physiotherapy treatments for patients with complex conditions. This involves creating personalized care plans using advanced clinical reasoning, manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and patient education. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support discharge and ensure seamless care continuation is required. Maintaining detailed clinical records, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection are mandatory.
Your duties also include participating in weekend shifts, on-call, and emergency respiratory rotas, offering specialist advice to clinical peers. You will support development of junior staff, students, and support workers through mentoring, instruction, and appraisals. Continuous professional development and involvement in audits, research, and improvement projects to strengthen evidence-based practice are important aspects.
Represent physiotherapy within multidisciplinary team meetings, contribute to integrated patient care, and demonstrate flexibility by working across several Trust sites and services. You will also take on leadership and operational roles as needed, while upholding professional and clinical standards.
Additional Information
Interviews will be held in person. HCPC registration and prior NHS experience are compulsory.
