Job Summary
This is a hands-on role focused on delivering heartfelt care and sanctuary to guests by ensuring beautifully cleaned and serviced rooms. You will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of an upscale 5-star property, with training provided. We are seeking friendly, detail-oriented individuals who are team players and can handle a physically demanding role.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning of guest rooms, storage areas, and corridors as assigned.
- Replenish guest supplies and promotional materials in bedrooms and bathrooms according to room type standards.
- Report any lost property following established hotel procedures.
- Execute scheduled and routine cleaning tasks as allocated.
- Handle guest laundry in compliance with hotel policy.
- Operate and clean equipment with care, reporting any defects as per the procedures manual.
- Maintain all departmental equipment to a high standard.
- Assist with regular equipment stocktakes.
- Ensure the security of keys and guest rooms by adhering to security protocols and reporting suspicious individuals or items.
- Understand and correctly use/store cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturer instructions.
- Assist guests with information or service requests, referring matters beyond your authority to your supervisor.
- Provide turn-down service for guests.
- Clean balconies, balcony furniture, and railings.
- Perform carpet cleaning duties.
- Maintain bedrooms by de-scaling shower heads, bleaching grouting, and general upkeep.
- Support colleagues with tasks such as setting up extra beds, bed boards, and making beds.
- Engage warmly with guests, utilizing emotional intelligence and initiative to provide five-star luxury service.
- Work independently when required to clean rooms.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a 5-star or luxury hotel environment.
- A genuine passion for guest interaction and fluent English communication skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong teamwork skills, a good level of physical fitness, and the capacity to handle physically demanding tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high cleanliness standards.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
- Proficiency in coordinating multiple tasks concurrently.
- Must possess a clean police record.
