Role overview
This contract role is for a Romanized Hindi transcription specialist who can convert spoken and written Romanized Hindi into accurate text. The work is remote and is expected to run for 10 to 40 hours each week. Compensation is offered at an hourly rate of $8 to $16.
What you will do
- Transcribe Romanized Hindi audio and text into clear written documents with a high degree of accuracy.
- Check machine-produced Romanized Hindi transcripts and fix errors where needed.
- Attach relevant metadata labels and provide context-aware annotations to audio and text files.
- Keep transcription output consistent, linguistically correct, and quality-focused across assignments.
- Work with the client’s team to follow project instructions and best practices.
- Handle multiple assignments and deliver work within agreed deadlines.
What is needed
- Strong command of Romanized Hindi, including the ability to read, write, and understand it by listening.
- Prior transcription experience with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Hands-on experience with metadata tagging and annotation tasks.
- Ability to review, identify, and correct mistakes in automated transcription output.
- Very good written and spoken communication skills, along with a professional and careful approach to work.
