Audio Production Specialist

Position Overview

This contract role is for an Audio Production Specialist working remotely from the United Kingdom. The assignment is structured for 10 to 40 hours per week and offers hourly compensation ranging from $19 to $65.

What You’ll Do

• Build, edit, and blend multi-layer audio projects with Ardour or LMMS as the main digital audio workstation.
• Complete realistic production sessions from first concept through to a refined final mix, while showing your working method clearly.
• Show how you approach creative decisions, including experimentation, iteration, and adjustments made during the session.
• Develop and polish sound layers using professional production techniques to create balanced, engaging audio.
• Explain the reasoning behind your choices in both written notes and spoken discussion.
• Work with the client’s remote team, exchanging feedback and helping move sessions toward project goals.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience with Ardour and/or LMMS in a professional or semi-professional environment.
• A solid grasp of audio editing, mixing, and music production workflows.
• Strong communication ability, both in writing and speaking, with the confidence to explain creative decisions.
• Experience creating tracks or mixes from the ground up, including arranging and refining multiple layers.
• A careful, quality-focused approach to producing polished audio outputs.
