IDB Invest is assembling a Talent Pool for Risk Management Senior Associates or Officers to meet current and anticipated organizational needs. Candidates who join this Talent Pool will be considered for future openings aligned with their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the origination, execution, and oversight of Infrastructure and Energy, corporate, and project finance transactions by conducting independent credit risk evaluations.
  • Identify critical risk factors, propose effective solutions, and analyze complex financing arrangements, financial and legal documents, and risk assessment models.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and advise on strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Review and validate credit ratings, continuously monitor non-sovereign portfolios, and prepare comprehensive credit risk reports.
  • Present detailed findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Engage in debt restructuring processes and utilize risk methodologies and analytical tools to evaluate exposure.
  • Encourage adoption of best practices and promote knowledge sharing to enhance risk management and decision-making capabilities across teams.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Preferably 3 to 4 years of professional experience in similar risk management roles.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a track record of devising innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is mandatory; knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, or French is advantageous.
