About KPMG

KPMG is a globally recognised professional services firm known for its strong reputation and trusted advisory work. In New Zealand, the organisation is guided by the purpose of helping create prosperity for all New Zealanders, with its work anchored in the values of Integrity, Courage, Excellence and Together, for Better.

The opportunity

This role sits within the People and Inclusion team and offers the chance to help shape a workplace where employees can do their best work. As a Reward and Insights Analyst, you will contribute to the design and delivery of reward approaches that are competitive, fair and motivating, supporting both attraction and retention while aligning with business priorities.

You will also transform workforce data into meaningful insights. Through reporting, analysis and dashboard development, you will give leaders the information they need to make informed people decisions and improve outcomes across the organisation.

The position is open to candidates based in Auckland or Christchurch.

What you will do

  • Assist with building and rolling out reward approaches that support business objectives and reflect the organisation’s reward philosophy.
  • Help manage the annual reward process, including performance reviews, salary reviews and bonus activities, to ensure a clear and positive employee experience.
  • Carry out market comparisons and role evaluations to keep pay and job structures competitive.
  • Review reward outcomes to check they are fair, equitable and inclusive, and use the findings to suggest improvements.
  • Analyse workforce information such as trends, turnover, diversity and performance to produce practical insights for decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Develop and improve dashboards that present people data in a clear, timely and useful way for leaders.
  • Respond to stakeholder questions accurately and professionally, with a strong customer-focused approach.

What you will bring

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of remuneration frameworks and reward strategy.
  • Hands-on experience with salary review and bonus processes.
  • Familiarity with job evaluation and job matching methods.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability and curiosity.
  • Capacity to identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence in building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach.
