Job description

Company Overview

Crux is a leading capital platform dedicated to advancing the clean economy by modernizing capital raising and deployment for clean energy and critical infrastructure. The company has assembled a diverse team of over 100 specialists in energy, tax, finance, government, and technology, securing $77 million in funding from top-tier venture and strategic investors. Crux operates at a pivotal moment in American energy and manufacturing, fueling the transition to more affordable, reliable, and clean electricity through innovative financing solutions.

Role Summary

The Revenue Strategy & Insights Lead will be part of the Operations team, focusing on optimizing the go-to-market (GTM) funnel specifically across Transferable Tax Credits, Debt, and Investments. This role is pivotal in identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in deal flow, building actionable process improvements, and collaborating across teams to implement solutions using data-driven insights. It demands fluency in financial concepts and the ability to work closely with commercial teams to improve deal velocity and overall execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the critical link identifying and resolving delays or breakdowns in the handoff process between developers and buyers.
  • Map and analyze the entire GTM funnel for Transferable Tax Credits, Debt, and Investments to diagnose conversion rates and stalls.
  • Pinpoint and prioritize 2-3 high-impact process improvements supported by data evidence.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Operations and Product teams to devise and develop the necessary tooling to address identified challenges.
  • Bring an external, informed perspective on GTM strategies, assessing Crux’s commercial motions critically.
  • Integrate within commercial teams to gain firsthand understanding and build trust rather than relying solely on dashboards.
  • Acquire and apply knowledge of GTM and energy financing language to communicate effectively with commercial teams and leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in finance, investment, management consulting, or a similarly analytical field.
  • Proven track record in roles requiring leadership of cross-functional initiatives, strategic projects, or business operations.
  • Experience with complex financial products or enterprise software and the capability to translate between technical, financial, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify root causes, synthesize data, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience designing and enhancing operational processes, systems, or tools in fast-growing environments.
  • Collaborative experience working alongside Finance, Commercial, Product, and Engineering teams to improve outcomes.
  • Ability to balance efficient operations with stakeholder engagement and change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence diverse teams across finance and GTM domains.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with sales pipeline management.
  • Revenue operations expertise driving commercial transformations.
  • Background working in technology companies or fintech environments.

Culture and Benefits

  • Remote-first work model with optional offices and local coworking spaces across the US and Canada.
  • High-growth culture offering significant ownership and responsibility.
  • Combination of financial services and cutting-edge technology, including AI tools.
  • Regular company-wide and team-specific offsite meetings.
  • Comprehensive healthcare covering 100% employee premiums with partial dependent coverage.
  • Dental and vision coverage for employees and partial for dependents.
  • Ten company holidays and 20 days of paid time off annually.
  • 401(k) plan supported, though no matching program currently.
  • Generous parental leave policies: 16 weeks for birthing and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents.
  • Competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $250,000 based on experience, plus revenue-based bonuses and stock options in a rapidly expanding company.
  • Inclusive and supportive team culture focused on customer needs, rapid improvement, and ownership mentality.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and equal employment opportunities.
