About the Role
Ampol is a major Australian convenience retail network focused on making everyday stops quicker and easier for customers. In this store-based role, you’ll help create a friendly, efficient experience for people who are refuelling, buying essentials, or just passing through.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Retail Team Member, you’ll support smooth day-to-day store operations by keeping merchandise stocked and well presented, monitoring inventory, and helping maintain accurate stock control. You’ll also handle point-of-sale transactions and complete cash reconciliation at the end of shifts with care and accuracy.
Key Duties
- Provide helpful, high-quality service and aim to go beyond customer expectations.
- Assist the Store Manager with daily retail operations.
- Work cooperatively with other team members to keep the store running well.
- Maintain strong standards for safety, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Be available for a rotating seven-day roster, including weekend and overnight shifts when required.
Experience and Skills
- Prior experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
- Confidence using POS systems and handling cash correctly.
- Clear communication and solid teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work across all days of the week, with weekend and night availability essential.

Pay for retail Team Member roles is aligned to the Vehicle Repair, Services and Retail Award 2020. Current rates can be checked in section 16 of the award on the Fair Work website.
