About the role
Ampol is seeking a Retail Team Member for its South Hedland store. In this position, you’ll help create a smooth, welcoming experience for customers by providing quick service, keeping the store well presented, and supporting day-to-day retail operations.
What you’ll do
You’ll contribute to the store’s performance through merchandising, stock handling, inventory checks, and accurate point-of-sale and cash reconciliation tasks. The role also involves working closely with the store team to maintain efficient operations and high service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and aim to deliver service that goes beyond expectations.
- Assist the Store Manager with routine retail activities and store operations.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to maintain a productive environment.
- Follow safe work practices and pay close attention to accuracy and detail.
- Be available for weekend and overnight shifts when rostered.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
- Confidence using POS systems and handling cash correctly.
- Clear communication skills and a strong team-oriented approach.
- Willingness to work across a 7-day roster, including nights and weekends.

Pay rates for retail Team Member roles are governed by the Vehicle Repair, Services and Retail Award 2020. Applicants should review section 16 of the award via Fair Work for the current pay rates.
