Retail Team Leader

Overview

The Retail Team Leader will manage daily store functions, lead retail team members, ensure outstanding customer satisfaction, meet sales goals, and uphold store standards. This position emphasizes effective leadership and practical retail store management experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide the store associates during everyday operational activities.
• Maintain exceptional customer service and promptly address customer issues.
• Monitor sales metrics to assist in attaining sales objectives.
• Manage stock levels through inventory control, replenishment, and merchandising.
• Ensure store cleanliness, attractive visual merchandising, and proper product arrangement.
• Conduct daily team meetings and motivate staff to enhance performance.
• Administer billing, cash handling, and procedures for opening and closing the store.
• Enforce adherence to company policies, processes, and safety regulations.
• Liaise with vendors and warehouse teams to ensure stock availability.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 2 years of retail operations experience, preferably in supermarkets, grocery, FMCG, or organic retail environments.
• Strong leadership capabilities with effective team management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in handling customers.
• Good knowledge of inventory management and retail key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Willingness to work flexible hours including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with POS systems.
