Role overview
Applications are invited for a full-time Night Hatch Attendant to support the team at The Kinnegad Plaza in County Meath. This is a nighttime onsite position focused on assisting the Retail & Forecourt Manager with site supervision and operations during the night shift.
Working hours and availability
The shift runs from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Candidates must be fully available for night work and comfortable working overnight on a regular basis.
Eligibility
Because of the nature of the role, applicants must be older than 20 years. Only people who are currently living in Ireland and legally permitted to work in Ireland will be considered.
Purpose of the role
The main objective of this position is to support the Retail & Forecourt Manager in overseeing the site and its operations throughout the nighttime period.
Key responsibilities
- Keep the hatch staffed at all times during the shift.
- Where needed, help onboard and train new night employees.
- Pass on operational updates to day staff and provide a clear handover when issues remain unresolved.
- Deliver reliable, high-standard customer service at all times.
- Carry out night-time cleaning and equipment care tasks, including work on coffee machines and similar equipment, along with stocking activities during quieter periods.
- Support the manager in running the retail store and forecourt, including relaying customer requests received overnight and suggesting ways to improve service.
- Identify possible safety risks in the store and help reduce or eliminate them where possible.
- Help limit stock loss by reducing wastage, damage and theft, while following food handling and waste procedures.
- Maintain merchandise presentation in line with company standards so the store remains customer-friendly and competitive.
- Rotate stock correctly so that inventory remains fresh and within date.
- Provide limited services through the night hatch while the shop remains closed to the public.
Additional information
The shop will not be open to customers during the night, but restricted services will be available through the night hatch.
