Retail Merchandiser

Role overview

This position sits within the merchandising function and reports to the Senior Manager Merchandising FP EBO. The role focuses on in-season trade management, stock planning, replenishment, and commercial execution across stores to support sales, profitability, and inventory health.

Key responsibilities

• Track in-season trading and overall business performance to keep stock availability at the right level and support stronger sales and revenue delivery.
• Work in close coordination with Visual Merchandising and Retail Operations teams to roll out each season smoothly and in line with commercial goals.
• Make sure new-season product is launched on time and distributed correctly to all assigned stores according to the allocation plan.
• Use replenishment planning to maintain healthy SKU-level inventory, reduce missed sales, and improve stock productivity.
• Handle RTVs and transfers between stores to clear slow-moving stock, improve stock turnover, and refine the store assortment mix.
• Partner with the Buying team so purchases reflect store-level demand, price structure, and strategic priorities informed by forecasting.
• Prepare weekly and monthly business performance reports, turn the findings into actionable insights, and present results in trade and sales reviews.
• Keep improving allocation, replenishment, and system data inputs to make operations more efficient and move toward an ideal SKU-level inventory model.

Working relationships

The role works closely with internal teams such as Operations, Sales, Buying, Planning, and Warehouse, and also interacts externally with franchise partners.

Eligibility and profile

Candidates should hold a graduate degree from a reputed institute and bring at least 4 years of experience in retail merchandising. Strong communication, presentation, and organizational abilities are important, along with advanced Excel proficiency, solid analytical and numerical skills, the ability to multitask, and the judgment to prioritize work based on business needs. A high degree of learning agility and comfort with new tools and technologies is also expected.
