About the Team

Sea Group is looking for research scientists to become part of Sea AI Lab (SAIL), which dedicates its efforts to foundational and applied work in Artificial Intelligence, including areas such as deep learning, machine learning, and computer vision. The primary role involves creating innovative models and general algorithms that enhance machine perception, reasoning, and decision-making. Candidates should be deeply motivated by advancing intelligence research and ambitious breakthroughs in AI technology.

Job Description

• Engage in pioneering AI research focusing on machine learning systems, generative models including language models, AI applications in scientific domains, and trustworthy AI approaches.
• Plan and achieve long-term research goals supplemented by intermediate objectives.
• Publish findings in premier AI conferences and journals that advance the field of AI.
• Participate in collaborative projects aligned with Sea AI Lab's strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Demonstrated research experience in AI, garnered within academic, industrial, or governmental environments with a strong focus on AI research.
• Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related disciplines.
• Track record as first author in top-tier AI conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ACL) or journals (JMLR), or significant publications in high-impact scientific journals like Cell, Nature, or Science.
• Skilled in differentiable programming tools such as JAX or PyTorch.
• Preferred: Impactful research with notable citations, demonstrated real-world application, or adoption in academic or industry projects.
• Preferred: Awards or honors such as best paper recognitions at leading AI conferences.
• Preferred: Proven achievements in international academic competitions.
