About Sea AI Lab

Sea AI Lab (SAIL) is a research division at Sea group focusing on both fundamental and applied artificial intelligence research. The team is engaged in advancing AI through areas such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and more. Interns contribute to core projects to push forward algorithmic innovation with a strong dedication to understanding intelligence and achieving significant AI breakthroughs.

Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental AI research addressing problems involving multimodal data, including images, videos, text, audio, and biological data.
• Work on decision-making systems in complex and realistic environments, neuroscience-inspired AI, trustworthy AI, and foundational theoretical aspects.
• Participate in strategic, large-scale projects prioritized by SAIL.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or have completed a PhD in computer science or a related discipline.
• Must have valid work authorization in Singapore at the time of hiring and maintain it throughout employment.
• Prior publications or experience in machine learning, AI, computer vision, optimization, or data science fields.
• Proficiency in applying both theoretical and practical methods to solve research problems.
• Effective communication skills to present complex research clearly and precisely.
• Experience developing experimental systems based on deep learning techniques.
• Familiarity with differentiable programming frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
