Job description
Role Overview
Join the established Trauma and Orthopaedic research team at Barts Health NHS Trust in London for a fixed-term 12-month full-time position. This role is open to registered nurses and physiotherapists. The successful candidate will support the planning and implementation of clinical research studies within the Trauma & Orthopaedics portfolio, ensuring adherence to study protocols, ICH-GCP standards, and Trust policies.
Key Duties
- Assist in coordinating and executing clinical research studies related to Trauma and Orthopaedics.
- Identify and recruit eligible patients across inpatient and outpatient Orthopaedic/MSK trials.
- Obtain informed consent by clearly communicating study information to patients and caregivers.
- Coordinate study visits and maintain precise data collection and documentation.
- Manage study files and electronic data systems in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate safe and proficient study delivery, offering expertise in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of research protocols.
- Support delivery across a broader portfolio and contribute to activities spanning multiple sites.
- Share insights gained from research activities to enhance research processes and pathways by educating healthcare professionals through various formats such as one-on-one teaching, written communications, or in-service education sessions.
- Demonstrate independent judgement while collaborating with clinical teams to address patient and family needs throughout care stages.
- Develop tailored care programs for patients engaged in clinical studies.
