About the Role
The Institute of Mental Health is seeking a Research Assistant / Research Officer to support various research studies and clinical trials within their Allied Health family group. This role involves recruitment assistance, field activities, data management, and systematic literature reviews.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support ongoing research projects and clinical trials, including maintaining databases and providing basic statistical assistance.
- Contribute to manuscript preparation for journal submission.
- Collect data from patient case-records and interviews, which may include gathering biological samples.
- Facilitate visits from external personnel involved in research.
- Assist with budgeting and drafting agreements necessary for research projects and clinical trials.
- Conduct computerized and manual literature searches relevant to research initiatives.
- Organize meetings related to research projects and clinical trials, including minute-taking.
- Create posters and flyers for research presentations.
- Carry out additional assigned tasks as required.
Educational Requirements and Experience
Candidates must hold a degree in life sciences or nursing.
