Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and patient-oriented Medical Scheduler to join our team in a hybrid role based in Indianapolis, including on-site training and remote work. This position operates within a call center environment from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate excels at managing appointment scheduling with precision, maintains thorough electronic records, and offers compassionate customer support in a dynamic, high-volume setting.
Key Duties
- Manage patient appointment scheduling with accuracy and consistency.
- Adhere to and reinforce established scheduling guidelines and processes.
- Effectively communicate vital details for each scheduled appointment to patients and internal teams.
- Audit and promptly complete electronic medical and case records.
- Maintain high standards while meeting deadlines amid heavy workloads.
- Interact professionally and empathetically with patients, colleagues, and supervisors daily.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a call center environment.
- Strong customer service aptitude coupled with precise data entry abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing operational requirements and workflows.
- Keen attention to detail, emphasizing accuracy in data handling.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and quick problem-solving under pressure.
- Consistent demonstration of empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
- Preference for candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree, though not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage for this contract-to-hire role is $16.00.
