Job Overview
A leading health insurance company is expanding its team to manage the surge during open enrollment, focusing specifically on Medicare-related customer inquiries. The role involves direct inbound communication primarily with senior citizens, requiring a compassionate and patient approach to assist them with understanding their Medicaid benefits and responding to their inquiries. On a typical day, agents handle between 50 to 70 inbound calls, with 70 being exceptionally high.
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound Medicare-related calls, ensuring clear and empathetic communication.
- Guide elderly clients through their Medicaid benefits and address any questions or concerns.
- Maintain high call volume efficiency, typically between 50 to 70 calls daily.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a call center environment is mandatory.
- Experience with payor organizations is highly regarded.
- Knowledge or background in Medicaid programs is advantageous.
- Possession of a High School diploma or GED.
Additional Information
- This is a contract position based remotely in Oregon.
- The hourly pay rate for this role is $21.00.
