Role Overview

As a Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will assess and address various physical, psychological, social, environmental, and organizational risk factors that may influence an injured worker's ability to return to work. You will implement strategies to manage these risks in practical settings.

• Manage return-to-work cases for injured workers covered by the WorkCover scheme.
• Conduct holistic assessments including Initial Needs Assessments, Workplace Assessments, and Vocational Assessments to support individuals in regaining optimal functional capacity.
• Provide vocational counselling and facilitate interventions such as well-being programs, training, and skill development.
• Collaborate with workers, employers, medical practitioners, and allied health professionals to coordinate rehabilitation efforts.

Requirements

• Membership with ASORC as a Rehabilitation Counsellor supported by appropriate qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling.
• A current driver's license with a reliable vehicle that holds comprehensive insurance.
• Valid Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
• Full legal work rights in Australia.
